Opium Poppy RID
Dandelion Transatlantic, aka Brendan or Brennie, is simply a
dynamite colt and a true stallion prospect. His dam Opium
Poppy is a multiple Hornby Premium winner and a fabulous broodmare. Her
only other son is the RID stallion standing in Great Britain On
a High. Poppy has numerous daughters and all who are of inspection
age have been approved RID. Poppy is a granddaughter of both
Ben Purple and Atlantic Boy.
His sire Huntingfield Proud Tim is one of only two male line descendents of Woodranger
in the world. He also carries the blood of Atlantic Boy, making Brennie
line bred to Atlantic Boy. Atlantic Boy is by the stallion Tara, who goes
back to Woodranger and appears in the pedigree of so many performance horses. Atlantic
Boy also goes back to Woodranger on the bottom via Danny Boy.
Brennie puts all of these old lines together in a very exciting way. He
is a powerful, young colt with good movement and a ton of presence. He
is friendly, curious and enjoys people but is also always ready to liven up the
atmosphere with the other foals if things get too quiet. Brennie passed his RID stallion inspection in September 2008. He will be available for breeding in the Spring of 2009. At 3 years old, he is 15.3 1/2 hands tall with 9 inches of bone.
