Shipped chilled and frozen semen available. Tim provides excellent, old and rare bloodlines to the North American gene pool. He is
one of two direct male line descendants of Woodranger , a bloodline that is seen over and
over again in the bloodlines of performance horses . Tim also goes back to Woodranger on
his dam side via Atlantic Boy, who was also known for producing jumpers.
Tim's sire, Timahoe Heather, was a hunter in England where he had over 400
days as a master's horse in the hunt field. He then disappeared and was not
rediscovered until he was 20 years old. He had been a successful breeder of
horses for the hunt in Cornwall , but his location was not accessible or
known to the Irish Draught community. At age 20,
he changed hands and his whereabouts were made known. He stood for only one
season before he died. Luckily, he left behind his two RID sons and a number
of fillies who went on to become RID mares. He was known for producing
wonderful hunters, and he passed on his puppy dog temperament.
Tim has his sire's lovely temperament and is an athletic and powerful horse.
Tim began his training in 2003 as an unbacked, breeding , nine year old stallion.
Tim is in training with Hilary and Charlie Carrell of Colts Unlimited
in Sheridan, Wyoming . He is ridden by Dusty Craig. He has had a
fantastic year eventing and wins admirers wherever he goes
with his workmanlike attitude and gentle nature. His progeny are just
coming of age and starting to make their mark. Walnut Chase, a 4 year
old by Tim, won the Mare of the Future class at the National Irish
Draught Show in Ireland . The following week, she went on to win Reserve
Champion Mare at the Royal Dublin Show
