Dandelion Diamond Rebel
May 2001, gelding
by Rebel Yell RID X Ballyhehan Beauty RID
"Bred in the Purple, bred in the purple" was just one
of the many wonderful comments Pat Gleeson and John McCarthy, the
Irish inspectors, made during the 2002 inspections about Dandelion
Diamond Rebel, otherwise known as Conor.
Conor does indeed have an amazing pedigree. Within the first 3
generations Clonfert, Glenagyle Rebel, Glenside, Sea Crest and Diamond
Lad all appear. By the next generation, Legaun Prince, Pride of
Shaunlara, Brandon Hill, and King of Diamonds are added. All of
these stallions are known for producing jumpers. Glenside was famous
for producing marvelous movement as well as great jumping ability,
and Conor has inherited that movement.
Conor is for sale as a stallion prospect only. We want to make
sure that this one purebred offspring of Rebel Yell's gets to have
a shot at carrying on that line. After his stellar advisory in which
the inspectors strongly recommended keeping him intact, it seems
like a reasonable thing to do. For the serious Irish Draught enthusiast
who would like a stallion prospect with fabulous performance as
well as outcross bloodlines with a lovely, easy temperament, great
confirmation and movement, and typey good looks, Conor might be
the horse for you.
Update!
Dandelion Diamond Rebel has been sold. We wish Conor all
the best with his new family in Louisiana.
